As the autumn projects begin to unfold we took a moment to sit down for a chat with Simone Ekström, our managing director at the Norma Franck Interior department. Hi Simone! Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background
My name is Simone Ekström and I’m a passionated interior designer with a lot of ambition, which led me to open Norma Franck Interior. Before I started Norma Franck Interior, I was working in the finance industry for over 10 years where I held several managerial positions.
What inspired you to move to Marbella?
I have spent a lot of time in Spain before we finally pulled the trigger to move here. What led us to Marbella was the incredible team and strong brand awareness that the founders of Norma Franck has created. To get the opportunity to work with them was too good to miss out on. Immediately when visiting Marbella and Estepona I felt that this was a city I would love to live in.
Where do you get the inspiration for your projects?
I tend to look for inspiration in my everyday life, there are countless places, cultures and styles around us. It is also very important to be updated on current trends, to follow and analyze what the industry leaders are doing. On top of this, there is a lot of never ending scrolling looking at Boutique Hotels, Pinterest and inspiring magazines.
What services are you offering?
We offer businesses and private clients full project management within Interior design and construction. This entails everything from creating concepts, mood boards, purchases, deliveries and installations. We also do smaller consultations, personal shopping and offer a range of furniture packages.
What is your favorite place in Marbella and why?
My favorite place in Marbella is the incredible beach promenade. I love spending a day off walking by the beach and maybe end up at a nice lunch restaurant in the old town.
